Hello, everyone, and welcome to the ultimate test of your strength, and perhaps one of the biggest adventures on you which you will ever trek. Here in beautiful Tonga, where our first season took place, this is The Ultimate Game. The twenty-two of you have been selected to take part in this ultimate adventure because you have all proven your worth through dedication, through perseverance, through mettle, through victory. There is no doubt that you all are some of the best players that have ever played the game of Survivor, and in a game full of winners, anything can happen, but it's still clear: Only one of you can win it all.
First off, Bob Dawg has backed out of the game last-minute. I'm not happy about this development AT ALL, and because of it I had to find a replacement. That will be the main villain of our very first season, Nat B. Her AIM is damienmcey.
As you're all aware of how I operate by now, I'm going to cut right to it. You all know what you're playing for: $25 to spend at Amazon.com. Only the WINNER gets it. You have something nice to play for, and that's why every single one of you deserves this chance - you have distinguished yourselves enough to claim a prize. A prize that goes with eternal glory, a prize that forever enshrines your name in Survivor history.
Since there is this prize at stake, I will be throwing in a little something I may have lied about in the past: Redemption Island. Yes, it's back. Yes, I lied that it wasn't going to be. Here are the stipulations this time:
1) People who are voted out will automatically go to Redemption Island. If for some reason you self-vote out or quit, you will bypass Redemption completely.
2) Whoever comes back from RI will NOT get an automatic one-round immunity, but they WILL get some sort of reward.
3) Redemption Island will NOT be visible to the players. All people voted out will be given Pre-Jury status and will compete in a secret venue until the twist ends. All pre-jury accounts will remain invisible until that point as well.
4) Redemption Island will go away at the merge; it will not return after it.
Any questions, let me know.
Next twist... each of you is going to need a tribe name. Submit privately, in your confessional, a name, a color that's readable on this site (in either a standard color or a HEX code), and a concept - as in, what your tribe is named after and why you chose it. You have a little under 24 hours - until the start of the challenge - to do this; afterward, your tribe will discuss which idea is the best - all without giving away who came up with each idea. The author of whichever tribe name is chosen will be awarded a prize privately. Don't submit an idea, then you don't get a prize, and your tribe will also know that you did not submit. This could make or break you in this game!
For possibilities, think Tonga, where we are, or something from this series, or something all-encompassing. Just a few ideas for y'all.
Also, each tribe needs to appoint an "overseer" ASAP. This overseer will receive private instruction as soon as a majority is reached. Discuss this in your tribe camps, which will exist shortly. This has something to do with tomorrow's challenge, which will be semi-live starting at 9 PM Eastern. The "overseer" will NOT have to be as active as the rest. This will be a good position for someone that's moving or has a life, for instance.
Of course you know me, this is only just the beginning. Granted, as players, you've all distinguished yourselves already... so I'm not going to do a game-controlling twist like the Survivor Shop, Pandora's Box, or Deception Valley. This game is going to be a test of your prowess as players. There will be rewards, yes, but I'm not going to pump them into the game like mad. Rewards here are something to covet, something that won't be in everyone's hands - you'll be lucky to see more than two of your own in this entire game, if even that. 6x votes won't be happening this time, because each of you will only be able to play one item per round.
Do I have more bumps and bruises for you? Of course. The biggest thing is that this game is going to be LONG. At times, it may feel like it's never ending. At times, you may feel like it's driving you insane. That's all a part of the game. This is going to be one of the most incredible journeys you will ever go on. Brace yourselves... it's going to be one hell of a ride.
